Dortmund hold a slim advantage heading into the second leg of their semi-finals tie against PSG on Tuesday, May 7th, and it's set to be a very tense battle at the Parc des Princes.

Borussia Dortmund are just 90 minutes away from securing their first UEFA Champions League final appearance in well over a decade, but first die Schwarzgelben will need to ensure they can overcome a PSG side who will be cheered on by a very aggressive home base at the Parc des Princes. Edin Terzic's side hold a narrow 1-0 lead from the first leg thanks to a goal from Niclas Füllkrug and will look to exploit PSG's defensive frailties that has seen Les Parisiens fail to keep a clean sheet in their last seven matches across all competitions.

Impressively, Dortmund have managed to keep five clean sheets in this season's Champions League, which makes their defense among the strongest of any side in the competition. They will, however, be taking on a side who have shown no issues in scoring at the Parc des Princes and have shown that a first leg loss in a knockout round does not necessarily mean it's all done and dusted just yet. Notably, PSG successfully overcame a 3-2 defeat to Barcelona in the quarter-finals to win 4-1 in the second leg and ultimately win the series 6-2 on aggregate.

Current boss Luis Enrique, who ironically masterminded Barcelona's comeback against PSG in the 2016/17 Champions League round of 16, is now the first former Barcelona manager to pull off a victory against the Blaugrana after losing a knockout round first leg. Having achieved this, Dortmund will know that this highly experienced and decorated tactician is certainly capable of masterminding another comeback, especially given how high the stakes will be for both teams in this crunch clash.

Despite the win last week, Dortmund's prior struggles against PSG can not be ignored. Die Schwarzelben have failed to both score and win in their last three visits to the Parc des Princes, and picked up just one point out of a possible six from their two group stage encounters earlier this season. Still, the German outfit will be hopeful of a positive outcome as victory here would give them the chance to grace their first final since the 2012/13 season, where the winner of the Real Madrid-Bayern Munich tie awaits at Wembley.
